FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Alexandra Nasca

Fashionista Spotlight

Even though it’s almost time for spring break, the Midwest is keeping up the trend of crazy weather! With close to five inches of snow (but still no snow day!), it’s easy to throw on sweatpants, your puffiest jacket and fuzzy boots for the trek across campus. However, I caught this Fashionista on her way to class in a gorgeous coat and couldn’t help but admire her lovely, classic ensemble that still kept her warm while walking around the quad!

Name: Alexandra Nasca

Major: Elementary Education, Minor in Spanish

Year: Sophomore

CollegeFashionista: You look so warm and stylish! What are you wearing?

Alexandra Nasca: I’m wearing a white, long peacoat, brown leather boots, jeans and a wool hat and scarf.

CF: What is your favorite season to dress for?

AN: My favorite season to dress for is winter! Because even in a hurry, you can quickly throw on a cute jacket, hat and pair of boots and still look put-together!

CF: What’s an essential item in your closet in this snowy weather?

AN: Definitely my boots because they give good traction on the ice and keep my feet warm in the slush and snow.

CF: What trend are you most looking forward to this spring?

AN: Probably bright pastels, especially colored shorts, and fun, patterned scarves.

How To: To get a fresh, classic look while still staying warm, try a light-colored peacoat with a timeless cut. Your head is where most of your body heat is lost, so don’t forget a cute hat! Throw on your favorite pair of leather boots, and last but not least, a wool scarf doubles as a fun accessory and a way to keep warm!
