I’m Michele Drago and I’ll be spotting campus trends for the second semester at Misericordia University. I’m currently a senior Communications major with a specialization in Public Relations and Advertising hoping to hit the streets of New York City after graduation. Between being a go-to personal stylist for my fabulous friends and writing my bi-weekly fashion column, my passion for the industry has always been apparent and that’s when I knew I’d make a fabulous Style Guru.
I’m a total ballet flat enthusiast with an unbelievably large collection of structured blazers, and I can’t go a day without adding pearls to everything I wear. My style is simple and extremely feminine but that doesn’t stop me from pulling out vintage grungy biker boots or amping up my outfits with fun accessories. I love being able to take designer looks and bring them down a notch to my tight college budget.
Last semester, I completed three fashion related internships that have taught me to love this industry even more. While I’ve always loved street style, CollegeFashionista has given me a strong appreciation for the styles I’ve spotted around campus. While it wouldn’t be fair to compare Dallas, Pennsylvania or Manhattan, I love spotting Fashionistas/os who can strut their stuff and show off their personality with what they wear, adding a city style flair. Fashion is a form of expression and I’m a firm believer in totally owning one’s own style. Take risks and don’t be afraid to experiment with your wardrobe. College is the time in your life to figure out who you are and why not find yourself fashionably?
