Alexandra Scandolo

Destination: Florence, Italy

Travelling to Italy with my parents this summer was definitely an unforgettable trip. We spent three weeks travelling the Northeast, visiting family members and places we all haven’t seen in many years. My favorite part was driving south and seeing Florence for the first time. The amount of art, architecture, culture and nature that surrounds the Tuscan city is astounding.allyscandolo

Alexis Kelly

Destination: London, England

My most memorable travel destination has been London. Over the summer I spent a month living there in a district called Shoreditch and it changed my whole perspective on culture. London is a mixing pot of cultures from all around the world. I loved the people, the art, and the food. The way of life is very similar but not as fast paced as New York. alexiskelly

Anna LaPlaca

Destination: San Ramón, Nicaragua

My sophomore year in high school I travelled to San Ramón, a beautiful yet poverty-stricken town in the mountains of Nicaragua. I went there with a school group on a service trip to help build an elementary school for their community. This was an experience I won’t soon forget because the people were so warm and generous, inviting us into their homes, teaching us to cook their traditional tortilla recipes and even how to make jewelry out of seeds found in the region. I travelled there not knowing many Spanish words other than me llamo Anna; I returned with a heartwarming feeling and a broader worldview.annalaplaca

Eliza Huber

Destination: London, England

My favorite travel destination is London, by far. I’ve been three times now and am heading back for a two-week study abroad program this December. My uncle lived there for eight years, providing me with a free place to stay and an amazing guide around the multicultural and diverse city. I love London because of how different each nook is. You take the tube from one district to the next and they’re completely different worlds. I love walking around Shoreditch; stopping at my favorite boutique, Wonderround; and making pit stops at the Hourglass Pub in South Kensington to relax for a bit.elizahuber

Jaida Brinkley

Destination: Hilton Head, South Carolina

When I was younger my family started going to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina every summer. It’s no Hawaii, but I like to consider it a small paradise on the East Coast. Whenever I think of Hilton Head I remember the warm and happy memories made with my family. To this day I love going because it’s so perfect for getting away and relaxing. My favorite part is the beach during sunrise, it’s so peaceful and a beautiful sight.jaidabrinkley

Peyton Lee

Destination: Isola di Procida

Not very many people know about this little island because of the popularity of the neighboring city, Naples. If you take a little ferry off of the coast of Naples, you can explore this charming pastel town’s curvy bays and sandy shorelines for endless hours. I’ll never forget this beautiful and isolated Italian island because of the charm and amazing details of the architecture of each building.peytonlee

Rachel Park

Destination: Rome, Italy

My most memorable travel destination thus far is definitely my study abroad experience in Rome, Italy last fall. It’s on thing to adventure through a foreign city for a couple days but it’s a whole different ballpark when you get to live in one as a local would. I got to learn the language and communicate with the natives which opened so many more opportunities for me to experience the culture that I wouldn’t have been able to had I simply “visited.” Plus, I got to eat enough pasta to last me for about the next five years!rachelpark

Sofina Bassett

Destination: New Zealand

New Zealand has definitely been one of my favorite travel destinations. The two islands are different from each other, but they’re both incredibly beautiful. I’m from a big city, and as much as I love downtown and being busy, there is something so relaxing and serene about being surrounded by so much nature. New Zealand was the perfect break from everyday city life!sofinabassett
