My name is Megan Mansell, and I am going into my senior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Picking my major was like choosing what to have for breakfast, I knew immediately that I wanted to go into retail, so I never gave anything else another thought. I’ve lived and breathed fashion my entire life and want nothing more than to be surrounded by product, print and fabulous fashions forever!
I cannot get enough of blogs and magazines photographing and writing about the latest trends, what designer has the greatest new line, and who’s wearing who. I also have an undeniable passion for writing. This summer marks my one year anniversary with CollegeFashionista, and I truly love to be apart of it; every week I cannot wait to write my new feature. My one and only rule about fashion is to be fearless; find your inner Fashionista/o every morning.
I am a serious sucker for oversized shirts, leggings and a pair of comfortable boots, and if I let my inner lazy out, I’d be wearing just that every day. However, I try to fight that urge and layer my wrist in bangles and friendship bracelets when I put together an outfit. I just spent the spring semester abroad, and I really think it influenced my style a lot. I went from being timid to rocking 6-inch wedges in broad daylight to not owning enough wedges to get me through the week without repeating. I truly live for street style and always have. While the runway will always be my inspiration, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing real people wearing affordable fashion!
If I have any advice to offer to all of you Fashionistas, it’s to wear what you love and love what you wear!
