Every few months, we all go through our closets and pack up whatever clothes of the passing season that become unwearable in the coming months. Although I cherish the day I will once again pull out my white jeans, their time has come to be sent to the back of my closet until May rolls around once again. So pack up those lilac jeans, mint tanks and pink linen blazer (in my case), and break out your fall wardrobes!
Other than obviously summer pieces like shorts and tanks, there are certain fabrics that are reserved for summer. Chiffon, lace and cotton for the most part are strictly worn in the hot summer days. For now, the fabrics that epitomize the fall season are tweed, wool and corduroy. Some of the colors that I associate with September through November are burgundy, evergreens, browns and oranges. With this logic in mind, this week’s Fashionista is wearing the most perfect fall ensemble.
When chatting with this Fashionista, she explained how excited she was to finally be donning her orange corduroy skirt, and how she had been saving it for a perfect fall day. She pairs the corduroy orange skirt with mainly brown accents, from her tights and boots, all the way up to her gorgeous beaded necklace. I definitely was drawn to her seamless cohesion of all of the brown, which I always find difficult to pair things with! This Fashionista was even cunning enough to tie everything in with a nice cheetah print belt, which to be honest, no outfit is complete without. From all of those heavy colors, she lightens the outfit with a nice, crisp, preppy oxford shirt from Polo.
Go out and relish in these deep hues, sooner than you would like to think we will be back to pastels and soon enough, neons!
