LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Native Lines

Let's Hear it for the Boys

Warmer weather came to join us on campus at last! I was excited when I found this Fashionisto, who sported multiple layers in a unified way. Now that the sun is out, we can stop hiding underneath our jackets and focus on our true outfits.

A stunning graphic tee is an important item in a Fashionisto’s wardrobe as the temperature rises. A simple design in a T-shirt can really add personality to one’s look. Graphic tees look even better when they are successfully accompanied by a button-down shirt. This Fashionisto chose to match the color-scheme of his Native American T-shirt with a plaid flannel shirt.

You may not notice at a quick glance, but the theme of his getup was repeated in the cuff of his pants. This trendy pair of BDG pants, from Urban Outfitters, brought the red and blue from his shirts down to the bottom of his outfit. The flannel interior cuff, along with his Sperry Top-Siders, created separation between the neutral colors of his pants and the ground. His hat, along with the defining line at the bottom of his outfit, complemented his look with an added splash of red.

Hint: Are you a big fan of graphic T-shirts? Look for off-the-wall and eclectic graphics that you can branch off of with other pieces in your outfit. A graphic T-shirt is the focal point for an outfit, like this Fashionisto’s, allowing more freedom to choose an additional layer. Don’t stop there, though! Printed apparel is in a lot of the spring collections. Try finding a pair of pants like this, if you want to incorporate this look into your ensemble.
