Right when I stepped onto campus, there was someone in the distance that stuck out amongst the crowd of students. He was like a splotch of blue in a sea of neutrals. It was hard for me not to notice this Fashionisto on my way to class. His outfit was very unique and stylish, so I had to grab him before he could escape. I liked every piece of his ensemble. Fashionistos at Radford University tend to stick out because not many guys would rock this look on our campus.
There are few button-down shirts these days that throw together multiple patterns, but the layout and color scheme of this button-down shirt was amazing. I guess you could say that’s one of the things Topman is known for: amazing button-down shirts. The mix of orange, blue, black and white created an aesthetically pleasing top. His pair of blue pants revealed the complementary orange in his shirt and reinforced a balance between the colors. It’s no wonder that this Fashionisto walked by unnoticed, wearing such bright colors.
His boots were a great addition to his wardrobe, since they can be worn with basically anything and still look great. I’ve only heard good things about this specific pair of boot from other fellow Fashionistos, too. A pair of glasses, like this Fashionisto’s, with thick frames, have recently been all-the-rage. There’s nothing wrong with adding some pizazz to your pair of specs. This Fashionisto’s glasses’ fade-out detail, from black to clear, helped his pair stand out from the other students’ pairs, just like his whole ensemble!
Hint: Don’t be afraid to throw on a crazy pattern. I suggest leaving the craziness to the shirts, though, so that onlookers keep their eyes focused more towards your face. It may be hard to think about wearing a pair of pants that are not khakis or jeans, so start off with a pair that is a darker shade or wash than normal. My first pair of colored jeans that I bought were an olive green color, which I now love! A pair of boots, like this Fashionisto has on, look great with any outfit. His boots are an investment that is definitely worth every penny. When it comes to a pair of glasses, bottom-line, rock them with confidence. If you don’t wear eyeglasses, though, a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses will do the trick just fine.
