March has certainly come in like a lion with its sleet storms and winter weather advisories; here’s hoping that it goes out like a lamb. Take a hint from this age-old idiom and get in touch with a more animalistic part of yourself. Animal prints have been a huge part of the fashion world for quite a while and this spring proves no different. Back in bigger and bolder styles, these primal prints are a must have for every Fashionista’s closet.
During my weekly search for a standout ensemble, I quickly spotted (pun intended) this Fashionista. Pairing her cheetah print dress with a simple pendant necklace and coordinating boots keeps the outfit simple and chic. The periwinkle blue peacoat is the perfect addition and pop of color that gives the ensemble a finishing touch.
A little goes a long way when styling with this trend. The print will likely be the focus of your look, whether it’s a statement dress or a standout accessory. Start with the print you want to showcase and work your outfit around it. This spring, animal prints can be found in all shapes and sizes. Choose one that best suites you and show off a little of your wild side. I personally love these Christian Louboutin leopard print flats (a girl can dream!). Fortunately for my bank account, animal print shoes and attire can be found anywhere, from Target to Nordstrom. Take a page from the animal kingdom and add something wild to your closet.
