Is it spring yet? No? Spring Break? Almost. Hang in there, Fashionistas! Winter is almost over, which means it’ll soon be time to put away those big, heavy winter coats. While it is exciting, this Fashionista reminds us why we love winter, and all the accessories that go along with it.
This week’s Fashionista looks cozy, cute, comfortable yet very chic. Her winter coat is in a great basic color–camel. Camel might seem like a color only your mother would wear, as it can read very old. However, the way this Fashionista styled the color made it young and fun. Her coat’s big toggles give the coat an air of playfulness. They are not too big that they look silly, but big enough to make a statement. Her coat also has a hint of volume in the bottom. A straight coat with a basic front would be a little boring, and a little too old for a Fashionista. But this coat, with its oversized closures and slightly voluminous shape is fun, young and perfect for any college winter. If you don’t want to invest in a new coat since spring is right around the corner, try a camel sweater or blazer.
This Fashionista has slipped on some blue skinny jeans and a gray sweater, a basic but great combination, especially under this coat. Gray and camel can seem like a strange pairing, but can be quite sophisticated when done right. This Fashionista has paired the colors together fabulously. Black accessories, like her black booties and black polka-dot bag, also go well with the outfit while not being too matchy-matchy.
But the way this Fashionista has put her outfit of basic colors together with a super fun hat, pair of glasses and lip color is what truly sets it apart. Her multicolored beanie and her mirrored glasses are a playful addition to the outfit. Although the colors in these accessories don’t match any of the colors in her outfit they go together seamlessly. This Fashionista has finished her look off with a bright orange lip, which helps lighten the outfit up a little more.
