It has been another great week spotting Fashionistas around campus. As October comes to an end, we have been lucky to still have mild weather and there hasn’t been any need for heavy outerwear lately. Instead, students can be found all around campus enjoying the nice fall weather. This Fashionista caught my eye because of her polished yet relaxed look and I felt like a lot of girls around our campus would enjoy dressing this way.

Major: Communications, Public Relations
Year: Sophomore
CollegeFashionista: So, tell me about your outfit.
Laura Mixon: I am wearing a striped tank top from Gap, a gold necklace from Madewell and dark brown riding boots from Macy's. I am also wearing short sleeves and a light layer because the weather is warm but my classrooms are cold. I also chose to wear a little gold to contrast the black in my shirt and pants.
CF: How would you describe your personal style?
LM: I wear preppy clothing with artsy touches. I love light layers like a jean shirt or old flannel shirt. I like to wear tight pants and boots. Accessories really dress up an outfit. I usually don’t put a lot of thought into my outfits, but I do always make sure that they match.
CF: Where are your favorite places to shop?
LM: I love Madewell and J.Crew, but I am a college student and those stores are expensive. On my college budget, I usually shop at Gap, Forever 21, Express, Macy's and American Eagle.
CF: What are your top three favorite items in your wardrobe?
LM: I love this dark blue dress I have from Bevello boutique. It has an open back and it is silk. I love my nude heels because they go with everything and they are classy. I also love a good pair of tight dark wash jeans. Mine are from Pacsun.
