When trying to find pieces that go together well, there is a fine line when it comes to matching too closely. I spotted this Fashionista and I was immediately drawn to her mustard yellow three-quarter length shirt and matching mustard colored flats. CollegeFashionista: So, tell me about your outfit.
Gallion Taylor: My mustard colored top is from H&M and I love wearing it because it is a good pop of color and it is also comfortable. It is plain but the pleating on the top makes it more interesting. I am also wearing my go-to dark wash jeans from Nordstrom that I got at the annual anniversary sale. I always find the best deals there. My flats are also from Nordstrom. They aren’t the most comfortable shoes but I really like how they are girly with the bows.
CF: What is your go-to fall wardrobe piece?
GT: My go-to piece in my wardrobe for the fall is definitely scarves. I have a bunch of different types of scarves and they can literally go with any outfit. It can easily dress up a plain shirt or be used functionally to keep you warm.
CF: As the holidays are quickly approaching, where do you like shopping most for gifts?
GT: I am from a small town in Southern Virginia, so I do not live close to many malls. The mall I typically shop at is in Richmond, VA which is an hour and a half away from my house. My favorite places there to get gifts are Nordstrom, American Eagle, PacSun, Express and H&M. These places offer a lot of variety. Nordstrom is my favorite store because they have everything you could possiblly want and it is high quality.
CF: How would you describe your personal style?
GT: I try to keep things simple and comfortable but also polished and classy. I don’t accessorize much, but when I do I like to incorporate statement pieces.
