WHAT TO WEAR: Midterms

What to Wear

Midterm mayhem always comes faster than expected. We have all been to the non-stop, coffee induced all-nighters in Cabel library. As silly as it sounds, dressing correctly can help this process. An important thing to remember during midterms is being organized so you are less likely to get overwhelmed. Dressing in an organized manner can inspire you to organize all other aspects of your life.

This Fashionista has the idea: her look is sharp yet comfortable. The ideal look and feel of your outfits during midterms should have this essence. It is important to have a look that is flexible and on the go while also being chic. I love the overall look of this Fashionista. The sleek look of the black pants and black wedge sneakers is very sharp. This style of black tight pants with a wedge shoe is very flattering to the figure. I love the bold red coat!

I know we all want spring to come so badly. Although we are still wearing coats and our winter gear, wearing bright colors is great to slowly break your spring apparel out. The white heavy knit scarf is awesome and the pompoms are fun while being fashion-forward. I love how the bright white color illuminates her face and makes the red lip pop.

Speaking of the red lip, this Fashionista is a great example of how your makeup can dramatically play up the essence of your look. I feel like the makeup reflects the outfit so well. The bold red lip matches the coat perfectly and looks effortlessly classic and elegant. The Fashionista went with a bold brow. The bold brow has become so popular in both high fashion and street fashion; I personally am a huge fan! I also like that this Fashionista chose to just do a thin black liner for her eyes. The casual striped sweater is perfect for the late nights in Cabel.

One Simple Change: Swap the striped sweater and white scarf for a white or black button-down. I would love to see an elaborate necklace paired with it. Adding these aspects, this look could go from midterms to presentation.

Fashionistos and Fashionistas, try not to let the midterm mayhem get the best of you. Getting in a good workout and organizing your outfit for the next ways are simple things that can make all the difference in your stress level. Good luck on midterms!
