STYLE GURU BIO: Margo Rizzi

Style Guru Bio

My name is Margo Rizzi and I am a current Style Guru at Boston College.  I am a junior studying Finance and Marketing.  Originally from Pittsburgh, I have enjoyed exploring all the new fashion trends that Boston has to offer.  Boston appears to be one step ahead on fashion trends in comparison to Pittsburgh, something that I have added to my ever-growing list of reasons why I love the city of Boston.

I attended Catholic school through the eighth grade and wore a very regimented uniform.  Therefore, it was not until high school that I began to explore my love for fashion and truly expand my wardrobe.  Since then my taste has grown far from mall stores into designer brands and a keen eye for boutiques.  While I own my fair share of Anne Taylor black skinny jeans, I am particularly drawn to vibrant, colorful pieces that are unique additions to my closet.  Some of my favorite brands include bar III, BCBG and anything from Francesca’s Collections. I like to have a lot of fun with fashion, and I am drawn to clothes that are bright and fun. I really want to wear things that reflect who I am. My closet is an array of bright colors and fun prints, covering just about every aspect of the rainbow.  I like to keep my looks sassy and flirty, and the business gal in me often adds a blazer to any outfit to transition the look from day to night.

Different people’s interpretations of fashion trends are what makes fashion so fun, and I believe that fashion and style are a great reflection of a person’s personality. Fashion is a great way to express individualism and it should be a fun way to express yourself. I am so excited to explore the different accessories Boston College students choose to wear!
