When I approached this Fashionisto and asked if I could snap his photo, he politely agreed with subtle indifference. He asked, “do you know how long I spent getting ready today?” I didn’t need an answer though; I knew it was an outfit put together in only a matter of seconds — but that didn’t matter. The casualness he exhibited in his air while circling on his bike matched his outfit well. This Fashionisto is naturally laid back and shows it through his clothing. It’s not about how long you take to rummage through your closet in the morning, but more so about whether the final product looks clean and whether it looks you.
Aside from his ability to match his personality to his outfit, I was also drawn to the fun nature of his colorful shoes and fun graphic T-shirt. As the weather continues to grow warmer, it’s only natural for our outfits to become brighter — both color and content-wise. Try mixing up your day to day outfits with a vibrant pair of sneakers and an old school tee (this Fashionisto said he bought his shirt from Goodwill!)
Hint: There’s no denying that one of the highest growing trends of the past few years hasn’t been something we wear, but something we do. You know what I’m talking about: going green, being eco-friendly, saving the planet — whatever you’d like to call it, this “trend” has taken over. Whether it’s wearing clothes made from recycled fibers or buying the latest hybrid car, saving the planet has all of a sudden become all the rage. Biking is another element to it — as exhibited with this Fashionisto and on college campuses everywhere, I’m sure. These human-powered vehicles help save the world, plus they definitely add a fun quality to both your day and your outfit. Lucky for Fashionistas/os everywhere, there are tons of online generators made specifically for specializing your very own personal bike.
