FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Christina Johnson

Fashionista Spotlight

This Fashionista is exemplary of bubbly and fierce. How does that work? Well, her outfit and pose equals fierce, but her personality is contagiously bubbly and fun. As February came to an end and we are now in the beginning of March, the weather has yet to permit us girls to meander onto campus in our frilly spring sundresses and sandals.

Now, I am always one to notice an awesome outfit, but I think another factor that captures my attention, as you all can probably see in a few of my previous posts, is hair. I’m jealous of people with amazing hair skills and big, voluminous curls (we all want what we don’t have, right?). Needless to say, I admired this Fashionista’s amazing updo that perfectly complemented her put together semi-formal outfit.

Name: Christina Johnson

Major:  Pre-Law

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: You look awesome today! I love your hair, can you tell me about your look today?

Christina Johnson: Well, I normally like to wear black as a baseline for a winter outfit because you can dress it up with any color. It’s a sure and safe way to make a statement without being too loud.

CF: I know that you’re from the city, so what do you think every girl living in the city needs, fashion-wise, to get by?

CJ: A great pair of comfortable heels, amazing colors in her wardrobe and hair pins. You never know when you’ll need to switch up your hair style or when you’ll have a bad hair day.

CF: Since it’s so cold here in Binghamton, what is your most awaited thing to do and wear once spring comes?

CJ: My sheer babydoll dress and my brown/golden wedges! As for my most awaited thing to do, probably going out with Jeremy [my boyfriend] to a concert or go on road trip with him.

How To: To emulate this Fashionista’s outfit, try this amazing T by Alexander Wang shiny crepe blazer, this ASOS shirt in coral to welcome the beginnings of springtime, a pair of J.Crew toothpick jeans in black and these Steve Madden boots. To accessorize as this Fashionista did, try a pair of these rockin’ spiked earrings from Topshop and a fun lightweight storyteller scarf from Madewell.
