Most Fashionistas/os that I know have a favorite piece in their wardrobe that has a story or reason for being special. Perhaps it is an antique necklace or an old and worn precious T-shirt that you bought at your first concert. Whatever the item, this piece has a story that is interesting and draws people in when looking at your ensemble. This week’s Fashionista wears a few statement pieces that surely make her outfit unique.
She rocks a beautiful black and rich orange patterned scarf that she picked up in a boutique a few years earlier. She told me that she gets many compliments on her scarf, because many people have never seen one like it. She pairs her scarf with a Banana Republic cardigan and blue jeans. On bottom, she wears gorgeous brown leather boots to play off her cream colored cardigan. Peeking out from underneath her scarf is a tortoise shell monogram pendant on a delicate silver chain. This Fashionista wears this gift from her aunt with just about anything for every occasion. I love this piece, because monograms are very popular right now but each monogram is quite different from others.
She wears simple pair of gemstone earrings that add a little bling to her ensemble. Finally, this Fashionista wears a one-of-a-kind bold ring that she purchased from a jeweler during her travels. This ring is so versatile because the bead on the ring is Pandora and can be switched with any Pandora bead to make a new ring with every outfit. This week’s Fashionista’s ensemble is so interesting because many of her pieces are unique and have a story. When picking an outfit this week, try to rock a piece that only you own or that has a fascinating story; I bet you’ll get many compliments!
