Whoever said flowers can’t bloom when there’s limited-to-no sunshine lied, or he/she, possibly, wasn’t too into fashion. Here in Rochester, New York, we don’t experience too much sunshine and warm weather, especially not in the winter months. We’ve found that scarves, warm wool jackets, leggings and boots are our best friends during this time of the year. Fashionistas have adapted to the weather conditions and are still able to shine with style through the gloomy days.
This Fashionista is spotted wearing a pair of floral printed leggings, a pair of matching floral sunglasses and a black body-con skirt and is bundled up in a simple and comfy purple jacket. This look comes together perfectly because nothing takes away from the floral print. The neutrals in the ensemble are paired with the bright colors in the print, which make the outfit work for the winter weather. In this outfit, the floral leggings serve as the main focal point. Not only is this outfit pleasant to the eye, but it gives us something to look forward to weather-wise–after winter must come spring.
I love the fact that this outfit is simple, and it can be done by simply piecing some of your favorite and pocket-friendly items from Forever 21 and H&M. You can even try out some different types of prints that work best with your vision and personality. If you’re not too big on floral print, tribal or animal print can serve as suitable substitutes.
