Wedge sneakers is a tough trend to come across, as some people love them and some people absolutely hate them! Regardless of what people may think, it is safe to say that the wedge sneaker trend has overall been a complete success. It was first seen on many high-end designer collections such as Isabel Marant and Guiseppe Zanotti. Now they are available in a ton of well-known retail stores.
Luckily, this week I came across Fashionista Katherine Ruiz twice rocking this trend, and she definitely pulled off this look in all the right ways. Katherine wore two completely different wedge sneakers that can be combined with different types of looks. Katherine’s first outfit features the Nike ‘Dunk Sky Hi’ Wedge Sneaker, which is a little sportier then most of the wedge sneakers that are out today. Katherine is wearing ripped boyfriend jeans, a cream sweater, a rust colored vest and of course her wedge sneakers. This outfit gives off a laidback look, but Katherine is still looking chic in her wedges. The second outfit Katherine is wearing shows a dressier look, as she is wearing an army jacket, black jeans, an ALDO handbag and her black wedge sneakers.
Both outfits give a great example on how easy it is to dress up or dress down your wedge sneakers. The best part about these shoes is how comfortable they really are. Walking in heels and wedges can get exhausting after a while, but these wedges provide a lot of support and comfort in a more casual way. This trend continues on growing and growing and is seen in a lot of retail stores such as Steve Madden, ALDO and Necessary Clothing. These shoes boast a variety of colors, styles and heights. So next time you walk into your favorite store and see those wedge sneakers on a shelf, be sure to try them on; they might be your next favorite pair of shoes!
