WHAT TO WEAR: Casual Date Night

What to Wear

Whether you’re getting pizza, seeing a movie or just hanging out at home, casual date night does not have to consist of sweatpants and an oversized T-shirt. While it is nice to kick back and relax, it is also nice to do so in style. A simple (and staple) black jegging is my favorite example of casual wear because not only are they super comfy, but they are also super fashionable.

This Fashionista perfectly paired black jeggings with a simple, yet sweet, oversized sweater and booties that makes her outfit versatile for any date — from walking around the park to grabbing a bite to eat. The main focus of the outfit, aside from the innocence that the roses on the sweater add, is the socks and booties. By pulling up the socks a little higher, you draw more attention to your (adorable) shoes and add a little color contrast to your outfit. This Fashionista’s beautiful, wavy hair also ties the outfit together well.

Next time your boyfriend, or super cute crush, asks you out to a casual dinner and a movie, avoid grabbing your American Apparel black leggings and oversized Hanes T-shirt, only to slip on your UGGs on the way out the door. Take the extra five minutes and rock your jeggings and booties — you’re sure to snag some extra compliments, while feeling just as comfy.

One Simple Change: While her oversized sweater works for a casual date night, you can easily switch out the sweater for a gray, fitted button-down, making it an ideal outfit for a meeting with a professor.
