While the street style scene is usually a stampede of sky-high stilettos, things are looking decidedly more “street” starting with the footwear! The sneaker trend has transitioned from the locker room to the runway and the super-sporty kicks have never been hotter. It is evident that athleticism is a key trend this year with high-fashion takes on sporty favorites. The likes of Marc by Marc Jacobs and Isabel Marant channeled their “Just Do It” spirit, dreaming up covetable kicks with wedge heels, python prints, studs and metallic leather trim. While the classic canvas court is a perennial style favorite, it has gotten a makeover this season. Converse launched several collaborations such creating a Missioni print high-top. This week’s Fashionista keeps it casual with a crewneck sweater, denim jeans and grey converse, topping it off with a gold pashmina and bold blue bag for a pop of color. Other sneaker trends come in the form of prints. Prints are big news and they’ve trickled down to toes took, appearing on everything from slip-on trainers to flashy high-tops. These shoe fashion trends are definitely worth trying this season so go out and find a pair of your own!
