For a while I was beginning to think that spring was the unicorn of seasons. Everyone always talked about spring, but has anyone ever seen its existence? This week’s Fashionista has put an end to my doubtful beliefs in spring with her warm weather, head-to-toe springtime ensemble. Everything about her outfit got me hooked and threw me back to a post about the harem trend. Instead of being redundant (like that general education class we all have to take) by discussing my love for this harem trend, I am going to fill you all in on a new trend: the wedged sneaker.
Thank you Isabel Marant, the creator of the wedged sneaker! Growing up, she would put cork into her sneakers for a taller effect and has now started a huge fashion trend (and confidence remedy for the short people of the world). The Fashionista expressed that she fell in love with the Marant wedged trend, especially when laying eyes on these red suede beauties. On a college budget the Marant line is most likely out of the question. Never fear! This Fashionista snagged her kicks at Target. Xhilaration has made the sneakers in different patterns and colors that would fit any Fashionista’s style.
Ash’s gold-wedged sneakers are one of my favorites. I can definitely feel a gold obsession heading into this spring. For a more sophisticated look, Steve Madden’s black suede-detailed kicks are a must. ALDO has also come out with their own take on the wedged sneaker with these studded sneakers. The wedged sneaker gives a Fashionista an elongated look, better posture and overall awesome outfit.
