LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Vuitton Brown Isn’t Just For Suitcases

Let's Hear it for the Boys

It’s those moments when you’re walking around campus and you see a great outfit, and instantly it brightens your day. This was one of those times. I am the biggest fan of leather jackets and I promise you’ll find no one else who appreciates them more. Seeing this young Fashionisto made me do a double take because it was the epitome of a perfect fall outfit. It is the perfect blend of color, pattern, and style.

First, let’s start with the leather. It is a perfect shade of almond brown and fits him just right. Nothing is worse than seeing a leather jacket, or any great piece of outerwear, that is too loose or too fitted. He chose a color that can become so muted and monotonous for the fall, but it is refreshing to see a nice brown styled in a great way.

The jacket is paired with a tan plaid shirt, which is simple, but adds a great piece to this Fashionisto’s look. It is a great piece to have in your closet to throw on and match with something! Then, this young man’s jeans are nicely fitted and the dark wash blends well with the rest of the color palate. I wouldn’t ever suggest you pair darker autumn colors with lighter wash denim. It’s kind of confusing and doesn’t fit too well with an earthy tone. His walnut brown belt and his torte colored wayfarers are perfect accessories to his amazing style!

Finally, his distressed red leather wingtips are the final touch to his autumn day outfit. Wingtips are no longer the shoes of bank tellers or business men in stuffy ill-fitted suits on Wall Street, they should be in every Fashionisto’s (or Fashionista's!) closet. They are versatile because they can be paired with casual looks, like this one, or even business professional ones.

This Fashionisto definitely knows a thing or two about great fall style and knows how to utilize his earth colors when it comes to his outfit. He’s earned his leather, that’s for sure.

Hint: Try mixing some warmer earth tones into your outfits this fall and winter. You can almost never go wrong with a nice olive green, dark browns and tans and leather goods. Nothing looks better on a guy than a nice pair of fitted jeans or chinos in different colors!
