It is December and the temperatures in WI just happen to be in the high fifties. This can be quite confusing, especially when you are prepared to leave the house decked out for the cold. This week’s Fashionisto prepared accurately, pulling off a single layer look during this mild winter heatwave.
It can be hard to remember what 50+ temps feel like, so it's best to be prepared beforehand. The first thing I do every morning is check the weather. For me, having too many layers on or to carry can put a damper on a beautiful day. On this particular day, a raglan shirt is a great choice because it offers the ¾ length sleeve, meaning you don’t have to pile on layers to get the extra sleeve length.
Beanies are another great accessory for any temperature. Whether you are having a bad hair day or looking for some extra warmth, pairing you outfit with a hat adds a little more. If you are trying to add color to your outfit, here is an opportunity to do it. If not, stick to a more neutral palette like we see here.
Hint: Khakis are the perfect alternative to jeans. They offer a more put together look with minimal effort and can be worn all year round.
