Here in Wisconsin, we are saying our final farewells to T-shirts, bikes and just warm weather in general. As I bundled up this morning complete with a scarf, hat and gloves, I couldn’t help but reminisce back to about a week ago when T-shirt weather was completely appropriate.
This week’s Fashionisto brings up some controversy, sporting his University of San Fran shirt in front of the notorious UW’s “W”. Shortly after stopping him, I found out that his sister attends the school on the West Coast. Going back to my article about expressing yourself via T-shirts, this is another great example of a conversation starter. Tucking in your casual T-shirt gives a more tailored look, but make sure to wear a belt whenever attempting this.
His watch is where I am going to direct the rest of my attention. As someone who never leaves the house without my wristwatch, I can’t help but notice that it seems to be a lost art in our generation for men to wear a watch rather than pull out their phone to check the time. Watches are one of the only accessories that either gender can only have one of and wear it every day with every outfit. I think even males are aware that Michael Kors is notorious in watch wear, but for something less blingy check out NEFF's collection.
Hint: If you are one of those champs that can bear riding your bike through the Wisconsin winter, I suggest pairing your classic Vans with wool socks for extra warmth.
