Winter is finally here and that can only mean, more parties, more events, more dinners, less studying and more adventure!
This week’s Fashionisto ensemble I found to be really interesting with his unique style that included a gray cowl style top combined with dark denim jean and vintage washed brown boots. His accessories included a thin belt that was a slightly different shade from a bracelet he wore and a necklace with vintage coins.
Among everything he wore, this Fashionisto’s sweater stood out the most. The cowl sweater trend is huge in men’s fashion. If you haven’t heard about it, it’s made of what looks like an oversized turtle neck that ends up layering around your neck. It’s great for the cold seasons and is an interesting and unique trend. Companies such as Zara have caught on to the trend by releasing this type of style in garments like this crossover cape jacket. It’s a must-have for the season and can be worn for different occasions.
One thing to mention is that the footwear to accompany any ensemble is mucho importante. For this Fashionisto it worked well the color contrast worked well. I personally love Sperry Top-Siders and loafers, but my love for vintage boots is never enough and I honestly feel they almost go with everything. Combat boots, like I’ve mentioned before have definitely made a return recently and they continue to be trending. Stores like ALDO and Steve Madden have unique cuts and washes when it comes to boots. Definitely look into getting a pair, too.
Hint: I personally learned that taking risks in fashion is rewarding. When you find a trend you’d never thought you’d see yourself and you realize you’re rockin’ it well, it’s inspiring. My concluding hints would be to take chances, try the cowl style and develop your own trends. Challenge yourself to dress well and be a better Fashionisto.
