LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Western Meets Native Neutrals

Let's Hear it for the Boys

I am one to agree that dressing according to the season is ideal, but there are many exceptions to the rule. School has officially started, and I can see that this Fashionisto is looking for comfort in all the right places. Even though the color choice of his outfit is not a common one for the cold weather season, it is definitely still worth talking about.

I was in love with this Fashionisto’s outfit the moment I spotted him. His outfit radiated this certain hip and cool vibe. It seemed so effortless, but still put together. What caught my eye at first were his accessories, since I rarely see guys attempt more daring pieces. Here he wears a dark brown wide brimmed felt hat that with a pair of leather moccasin boots. I like how this combination of accessories has a Western meets Native look to it.

He also sported a basic white pocket T-shirt (a staple item of clothing for all college students), and over it he wears a tribal patterned shawl cardigan. Keeping the color palette of his outfit a warm neutral tone, he wears a pair of olive green Zanerobe “Sureshot” Slim Tapered Leg Jogger Chinos which are all the rage right now. What I like most about this outfit is that this Fashionisto brings together a variety of different trends, and still manages to put them together in a stylish and cohesive manner. Overall, this Fashionisto knows how to stay casual, yet remain fashionable.

Hint: Being subtle is key to sporting a variety of different trends in one outfit. Try keeping your color combinations in one specific color scheme. If you’re scared of being a little too matchy, choose one item of clothing or pattern as the center stage of your outfit, and you’ll be sure to turn heads.
