Well it’s finnally the last week of the semester! With finals fast approaching all the students here at Flagler College are anxiously awaiting their trips home. While some are packing away their winter clothes to head to south Florida, others are packing up their summer clothes and preparing for the colder spring New England has to offer up North.
This week’s Fashionisto is no exception. A resident of Maine, he surely knows his stuff about northern fashion. He wears a light weight gray shirt underneath a Gap navy blue canvas jacket. He then chose a pair of kakhi pants that show three meters of reflector tape when cuffed for those bike rides through the streets. A pair of New England spring boots puts the finishing touch on the base of the ensemble. To accessorize, this Fashionisto chose a pair of Oakley sunnies and a gold linked charm necklace, adding contrast to his simple shirt. Finally, a wooden beaded braclet and a brown leather strapped watch add a rustic charm to his look.
It’s simple for you fellow Fashionistos heading up north to recreate this look! Adding a simple jacket such as a peacoat or windbreaker can take your look from southern charm to northern nautical! Maybe you’re not the canvas jacket kind of guy. Not to worry.
Hint: There are so many options for you to choose from, such as the cotton Ghille Jacket from J.Crew. It’s a great color for the spring and gives off a real manly feel. If that’s not your kind of style try a simple vest. A vest gives you so many styling options to work with and it’s the perfect light weight choice for a New England spring.
