Winter isn’t leaving New York City any time soon. Temperatures go from 50-degrees back down to 20 within a day. And, despite it being the spring semester, days only seem to be getting colder. With spring break approaching we are all dreaming of sunny days, flowers blooming, no more heavy coats and iced tea instead of hot chocolate. The never-ending cold weather gives us Fashionistos and Fashionistas a case of spring fever. Got a case of the winter blues? Learn a trick or two from this week’s Fashionisto on beating this spring fever.
This Fashionisto managed to pull off the perfect springtime look thanks to his Michael Kors cargo jacket. His tan jacket is perfect for transitioning seasons. It’s lightweight yet still warm enough for chilly mornings. To complete his ensemble, he wore a pair of cuffed denim blue jeans with a pair of Calvin Klein suede shoes. The yellow laces add a pop of spring color to his overall outfit.
His outfit may fool you into thinking it is spring, but he’s actually layered up for the cold. Underneath his cargo jacket, was a navy blue vest and gray cardigan sweater. His final layer included a striped button-up. He accessorized with a tan belt to break up his blue and gray color palette.
If you are one of the many people that have a case of spring fever, try layering underneath your spring ensemble like this Fashionisto!
Hint: Layering is a fun way to style an outfit if it’s done right. Try picking pieces that match. It will make the outfit look complete and adds more to it. It’s a two in one deal! You’ll be warm and stylish!
