LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Warm, Yet So Cool

Let's Hear it for the Boys

One of the things Texans love to hate is the ever changing weather. Many of us wake up and check the weather on our iPhones to the temperature at 40-degrees, only to get dressed and walk outside to 75 degrees and a blazing sun. Getting dressed can be a challenge, but putting together an outfit that can transform from cool to warm is just the fix students need.

The key is wearing layers and breathable material. This Fashionisto has a great versatile look that can be easily worn to school, on a night out and in any kind of weather. The thick, gray cardigan is perfect for cooler temperatures, paired with burgundy Levi’s for a pop of color. The simple white T-shirt underneath can be worn on its own in a warmer climate or for a simpler look. Simple tees with a such a prominent pant work for any day on campus.

The most stand out part of this look in particular, are the cool wheat colored Nike Air Zoom Generation sneakers, Lebron James’ first line of sneakers with the brand. The shoes are a casual alternative to wearing boots in the cool but dressy enough to wear on a night on the town. The neutral color works with this look, and brings it all together. It could work for a look with two bright colors on top and bottom as well.

The gold accents in the shoes also bring out the gold in this Fashionisto’s watch; a great way to accessorize this look.

Hint: Wearing the white tee without the cardigan is a casual look for a warm day out. Adding a gold necklace or chain can give the look a little something extra to bring it all together.
