The heat waves are intense out here, so I am amazed by all the different ways people have been interpreting this hot weather in their outfits. With the stress of school off most of our shoulders, college students now have opportunities to show their best summer styles to wherever they are heading. It’s fun to see what Fashionistos/as are wearing to dress to impress, whether it is to a summer job interview or hangout with friends.
This Fashionisto took me by surprise as he displayed a timeless trend with a summer twist. The Urban Safari style has been all over the runways from designers such as Diesel Black Gold to John Varvatos. The “Back to Nature” theme has been played out as an interesting alternative as it stems from both versatility and simplicity. John Varvatos made use of khaki and olive green tones for an adventurous feel throughout his entire collection.
This Fashionisto nailed it with a sleek, olive pant and colored button-down. The chino pant has been a popular trend in men’s fashion. It can be easily paired with either a graphic T-shirt or button-down to transition the look from casual to formal. This Fashionisto’s tailored look was relaxed all together with his choice of Sperry Top-Siders and rolled-up sleeves.
Hint: If you wanted to try embody the “Back to Nature” vibe more, I strongly suggest accessorizing. A structured fedora will add more light tones to your entire outfit and offers a nice source of shade from the sun’s heat. Also, camouflage accents would give off a more safari influence. This could help play out the dark accents and make the entire outfit look more mysterious.
