College is all about running from one side of campus to another, attending tedious meetings and social events, attentively listening to motivational guest speakers and finally making it back to the dorm to crack open a textbook and start highlighting. At this point in the semester, students have gotten a grip on the academic aspect of higher education, started to find their niche on campus and perhaps found a few new sources of style inspiration. Loyola buzzes with plenty of activities to keep students preoccupied. I live for a jam-packed schedule because it forces me to be quick on my feet and complete any task at hand. Truth be told, I prefer to be busy because I detest being bored!
There’s much to debate when pulling together an outfit for an eventful day. Which pieces are for practicality and which are added for spice? Finding clothes that are both comfortable and well thought-out is daily task for this Theatre and Dance major. He’s “always on the go,” so this look has been tested and approved for a slew of occasions. Bright shorts, a contrasting American Eagle polo, Ray-Ban sunglasses and The North Face backpack assist this Fashionisto in his daily rounds. Hint: Although I don’t always practice what I preach, comfort will take you places (literally)! I’m notorious for throwing on a pair of shoes that aren’t at all efficient for a busy schedule but I combat the slow, cautious walk that heels and wedges cause by leaving early for the day’s events. If you need the time for some extra sleep instead of the commute, make sure your soles provide extra support so you can fly around campus just as busy as a bee.
