It’s the middle of Septemeber and everyone on campus is finally settled back in. The freshmen are starting to feel comfortable and the seniors are wondering how they are going to control their “senioritis”. Campus is the perfect place to spot all varieties of trends. Freshmen are sometimes nervous to draw attention to themselves while the upperclassmen dare to take chances with their style. Sophomore year is especially cool because you have a feel for the college life, but you might not be ready to stand out among your peers. I call this the simple sophomore. It is somewhere in between the timid freshmen and the self-assured upperclassmen.
This Fashionisto is feeling confident in his simple and clean look. I did a double take at this Fashionisto because of how well put-together he appeared. He is going back to basics with a classic white V-neck T-shirt and sunglasses. A white V-neck is definitely a staple item that every Fashionisto must have in his closet. I love that he paired it with khaki skinny jeans from Levi’s. Since the weather is starting to become a little cooler and white V-necks are oh so flattering, try this long-sleeved shirt from Topman.
Boots for fall are a must. This Fashionisto’s lace-up boots from Clarks are what make this outfit different from the rest. The boots paired with the white V-neck and skinny Levi’s jeans give off the impression that he is a mature and sophisticated student. The same pair of boots in a different color like these camouflage green suede Clarks would add more attitude to this outfit.
His look is so well put-together you might mistake him for a senior! Two more years, my stylish Fashionisto. Don’t worry, time flies when you’re trendy.
Hint: Backpaks are really popular this year. I love how his style is so simple yet original with his American flag backpack. Pull out your notebooks in style with a backpack like this one from Urban Outfitters. It’s the perfect mix of American spirit (such as our Fashionisto’s) and the ever so popular camouflage.
