Is it stereotypical to say that the most fashionable people are the ones who remain stern and serious whenever you see them? Remember in The Devil Wears Prada, Miranda hardly ever smiled. The only expression that mattered on her face was the one she made if she disapproved of a particular clothing line. Sometimes the most serious faces from a Fashionista/o are the ones that prove that their attitude is what makes them so fabulous. Even with this heat wave upon us, I still managed to go out and seek hot, sweaty, and irritable Fashionistos.
Though this Fashionisto was far from sweaty, his serious “Miranda stern expression” proved to me that he would be far from irritable to snap a quick pic. I was, however, nervous that he might have cracked my camera in half as the sun’s glare from my Nikon bounced off of his aviator sun glasses. This weather has me approaching Fashionistos whose outfits remind me so much of water, beaches or cool refreshing desserts. In this post, this Fashionisto’s entire H&M ensemble resembled a sort of “merman” flare to me.
His turquoise sleeveless tank reminded me of the blue ocean waters against his navy blue straight-cut shorts. The whole outfit reminded me of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. What I loved about his outfit were his must have brown leather strap sandals! The way he complemented it with the brown shades and his brown peppered Gatsby peaked beret really brought a more sophisticated style to this basic look. You can tell from this Fashionisto that he truly knows how to rock a “sitting by the sand style” on this disastrous day out in the city.
Hint: Who said brights and neutrals don’t match? A bright colored outfit can always be toned done a bit with some sort of earth tone color. This makes the outfit look more mature.
