Coming from a girl’s perspective, I always thought my school was definitely not the place to find a plethora of unique and especially well dressed boys. After some consideration however, I realized it was time to start cutting them some slack.
Guys don’t have as much wiggle room when it comes to their clothes and branching out for them is often difficult because of their lack of options and knowledge on how to personalize their look. Whereas women have pleated skirts, wrap dresses, peplum tops, leggings and strappy sandals (just to name a few of our millions of options), the men in this world definitely have a much more structured array of items and silhouettes that they are confined to. Where certain Fashionistos make up for this all comes down to one thing: detail.
This Fashionisto sports some classic pieces with a few awesome quirks that change the typical boy uniform of college student males. He pays specific attention detail to layering and puts a colored plaid Urban Outfitters flannel under a cream Gap one pocket sweatshirt, letting it show in the collar and cuffs. Pairing them with comfortable and relaxed straight leg Levi Brand Jeans and black Converse, he looks put together yet laid back at the same time. It’s comfortable and classic and especially in this bleak and bitter Chicago weather, it adds a nice amount of layering for under a coat. Great praises to this Fashionisto, who really sees how the unique parts really add greater value to the whole.
