For the winter break, I’m back home in New Hampshire, which is starkly different from South Carolina. Holy moly, is it cold. When the weather is so rough, it is near impossible for me to muster up the desire and energy to dress fashionably. When I actually get out of my pajamas—which, admittedly, is rare—it’s difficult to come up with comfortable and stylish outfits that are still functional in snow and ice. This Fashionisto gives us an idea.
He’s wearing basic, skinny blue chinos. He’s wearing a slim fit sweatshirt with a really cool pattern—it’s a combination of thin stripes and splatter paint. Wearing a sweatshirt allows for layering, which is vital in the New England winter. Slim fit sweatshirts provide ease when layering underneath jackets, whereas bulkier sweatshirts can be more difficult to layer underneath coats. He has paired that with gray high-top sneakers. These shoes have studs along the strap, which is a stylish accent. His additional accessories are fab, too. He’s wearing two simple, silver rings, one on each hand. One is a sun and the other is a moon.
This Fashionisto’s outfit is really functional, but also really stylish. It’s super easy to pull this off and makes excuses for not looking fashionable in the cold weather invalid. All of this is making me wonder why I’m still sitting here in my pajamas.
Hint: Like I said, slim sweatshirts are perfect for layering under jackets. So, when you need an extra layer, grab a peacoat or a bomber jacket for some extra warmth.
