Autumn is approaching as summer is coming to an end. Sweaters and scarves, pumpkin flavored everything, knee-high boots—what more could a Fashionista love? Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves on the trees are changing colors and the Fashionistas and Fashionistos are swapping their summer wardrobes for new fall trends. San Francisco is already starting to cool down and now is the time to dig through your winter clothes and break out that sweater you’ve always loved to wear.
Everyone has a story behind their sweater. My favorite sweater was given to me by my aunt, who purchased it during her country-wide excursion. I spotted this Fashionisto hanging out on campus and loved the pattern on his cream and navy sweater. When I asked him where he found his sweater, he did not tell me some high end fashion store or even a local thrift shop. His grandmother bought it for him and it was a sentimental piece of clothing. However, not everything this Fashionisto is wearing was bought by his grandmother. He is wearing a pair of slim straight jeans
from American Eagle Outfitters and his shoes are a slightly destroyed, vintage pair of white Vans.
The simple pieces collaborated in this outfit bring out the print in this Fashionisto’s sweater (kind of similar to a houndstooth pattern). I really love this Fashionisto’s look mainly because he didn’t dive into fall fashion wearing overwhelming, crazy prints. He had his sweater do all the talking.
: If your grandmother hasn’t bought you a sweater yet, try this shawl sweater
from American Eagle Outfitters. American Eagle Outfitters has tons of sweater options that are affordable and so comfy you might fall asleep wearing one! Looking for a pricier sweater with some texture? This textured crewneck sweater
from Tommy Hilfiger is everything a Fashionisto could want this fall and comes in honey mustard and magolica blue.
