Last Thursday, I was hurriedly walking to Starbucks when I turned around and spotted this Fashionisto. It must have seemed weird because I kept turning around and looking at him, but I finally managed to ask if I could take his picture. We talked about fashion for a short time, but I was under the impression that he didn’t think he was stylish at all! I asked him if he liked style and he just shrugged! I knew he had to be lying. The way his look was arranged was so casual yet trendy all at once.
First off, this Fashionisto knows how to pull off florals like no other. I feel like there are two categories for florals. The ugly, paternal-like shirts we once saw grace the screens of Full House and Family Matters. (They are making a better comeback.) Then on the other hand, there is the new, hip florals that men seem to be embracing. These florals grace counters at Urban Outfitters and many contemporary menswear brands.
This Fashionisto is trying a whole new type of florals: the summer florals. No longer bound to pastel colors he is wearing a summery floral hoodie. I like it because it’s not overwhelming floral like the ones I mentioned before, its the cool floral. The “I’m not wearing florals, floral.” With a gray T-shirt underneath I envy his simplicity and style all at once.
This Fashionisto is acing accessories! (If only that were a class, right?) I rarely see men wear bracelets but this Fashionisto has some sweet arm candy. His beads are simple and just a little add on, not too overwhelming. His canvas shoes are quite a statement piece as well. I love the fact that he has so many bold colors on and his rich blue and red laced canvas shoes just indicate his love for color!
Hint: Dress up your sneakers with a cool pair of colored laces! Nike has all sorts of laces from minimalistic to down right bold!
