Fall is fastly approaching, but lucky for us Washington, DC residents we still have time before the leaves fall, and we have to begin to drop our shorts for some pants. For many, the most difficult seasonal transition in the fashion world is from summer to fall. Summer is comprised of bright colors, shorts, flip-flops and light T-shirts. Fall is dull in comparison to summer, with darker hues, longer pants and thicker sweaters. However, fall can be just as vibrant as the summer season! Just look at this Fashionisto as an example!
I spotted this Fashionisto casually basking in the sunshine on a bench while on our quad with a pair of sunglasses embracing the cool 70 degree weather. I was immediately drawn in by the casual button-down with vibrant hues. He decided to pair some of the fall essentials with summer clothing, wearing a light button-up with khaki shorts and boots. The thermal has great colors from every end of the spectrum. This color combo is perfect for adding some “pop” to his wardrobe. Fall does not have to be the season of darker colors, like brown, purple and orange.
As a shoe lover, I am a huge admirer of men’s shoes. In fact, I may enjoy shopping for men’s shoes more so then women’s shoes. I think that these crisp, clean, suede ankle-high boots are a perfect fit to the vibrant colors of this button-up. I love the risk taken by wearing the high Polo Ralph Lauren socks with these shoes. The socks pair perfectly with the outfit. In fact, the socks help to draw the eye to his shoes. These shoes are great for any man’s closet.
Hint: Men should not stray away from the ankle high boots, especially with colder weather approaching. Like this Fashionisto has done, you can pair them with shorts or pants. They are great for any casual look, and an essential for the fall and winter season!
