LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Springtime Uniform

Let's Hear it for the Boys

With it nearing closer every day, I think we’ve all started counting down the days until spring break. This is a period when the hours on the clock are seemingly nonexistent, and for some people, clothing takes a similar approach. Spring break is imminent and the good vibes are starting to seep through and cloud our vision, so why not give in to the temptation and start a bit early? This Fashionisto had the right idea for the perfect spring break attire—even for the weeks right before—with his relaxed yet very stylish ensemble.

This look is easy as it’s the ideal mix-and-match kind of outfit. The two main pieces, his graphic tank top and printed socks are so easy to collect in your closet and definitely don’t require a scientific method or extensive deliberation to ultimately come together. A good collection of printed socks, graphic tank tops and a pair of versatile canvas shoes will give you hundreds of different looks, all perfectly casual but interesting.

Begin with a graphic tank top like this one from ASOS. Not only are these cheap and easy to find, but they are also all completely different. Pair it with denim cut-offs and a pair of  canvas shoes like these from Vans for a beach-ready look. Finally, my favorite part, the printed socks. For some reason a loud sock does wonders for a casual men’s outfit like this one because they can easily make up for a lack of color or excitement. Like tank tops, you can collect multiple pairs of socks over time to implement into your wardrobe. These red and purple Fruit Identity socks from Urban Outfitters perfectly satisfy that pop of color and are a great example of the kind of gold you can bestow upon your sock collection.

The heat is upon us, so take this Fashionisto’s tips for a uniform this spring break that might already be in your closet. It could make for a great conversation starter while mingling on the beach with the rest of the spring breakers.

Hint: The shoes are versatile, so what about the whole ensemble? Spring break is absolutely not Prom, so if you are going out and you don’t feel like changing too much, I would suggest simply swapping the cut-offs for a pair of chinos like these from H&M for a slightly more dressy version of the same look!
