When I used to take art classes that involved paint, I would deliberately wear clothes which were old, worn and ugly. In fact, much of the time I looked like Mia from The Princess Diaries when she throws darts at balloons filled with bright paint — a hot mess. When I saw this Fashionisto, I thought about my poor outfit choices that I would sport during my creative classes. It made me realize that you can actually wear normal clothing during these classes, and rather than ruin your clothes you can give your own personal touch to each garment.
This art student and Fashionisto splatter painted his own T-shirt, and he did it on purpose. He transforms a very simple blue crew neck tee into a unique and one of a kind T-shirt that no one else owns. He layers his look with a warm hued multicolored plaid button-down and keeps his entire look simple with a pair of dark washed indigo jeans which he cuffs at the bottom. Instead of opting for the regular and more fraternity look of the plaid button-down with khaki pants, this Fashionisto wears his plaid shirt as if it were the ever so loved chambray button-down. For the hot summer weather, this is the ideal simple outfit for taking a stroll on the streets because you can simply take off the button-down and be left with a one of a kind tee standing on its own.
Hint: Transform your most simple garment into a totally new product. Splatter paint a thrifted chambray button-down or even a plain cotton long-sleeved tee. You can really make a totally new garment without having to spend big bucks!
