Throughout this semester, I’ve been showing off guys with unique fashion sense. The articles of clothing may be similar, but the Fashionistos wear the clothes in different ways. Since we are towards one of the last weeks in this spring semester, it’s great to see how so many men don’t slack on fashion. Finals may steal the men’s attention from dating and going out on the weekends, but not their mindset for outfits. One thing to remember during finals studying: ditch the sweats.
This Fashionisto was roaming around campus and I spotted him from what felt like a mile away. The pullover made me stop in my tracks and ask him if he would be interested in modeling for one of my articles for the end of the spring internship. I was overjoyed when he said he would love to do it.
Some may believe that plain is better; however, patterns are in style for this season. Patterns can be fun and playful when worn right. You don’t want to overdo it and look like a patterned junkie. This Fashionisto wore a southwestern patterned pullover sweatshirt with a burgundy T-shirt underneath. This sweatshirt makes a statement and is the main focal point of the outfit. He wore casual skinny jeans with the sweatshirt. Skinny jeans are becoming more accepted by the men’s fashion world. These jeans fit well and look better than the average baggy jeans. This outfit works well with cognac boat shoes. Boat shoes are the go-to footwear for men because they can be worn for many occasions. Also, they can be dressed up or down depending on the event. He completed his look with a pair of black lens wayfarers with blue sidings. These sunglasses are cool and bring out the color in his outfit. These sunglasses are easy to find and they’re affordable for college students shopping on a budget.
Hint: Be bold and wear shirts with patterns that you normally wouldn’t wear! Yes, solids are both safe and classic, but the right pattern makes people do a double-take. It makes an outfit more interesting. So for the final home stretch of the semester, do you want to be safe or interesting?
