Printed and patterned pieces added to an outfit can be the cherry on the sundae and the icing on the cake. Without prints, a Fashionisto would not be able to express his inner style and character. For instance, if this Fashionisto chose a baby blue button-up instead of paisley print it would have worked, but his outfit wouldn’t have stood out. I caught this Fashionisto on campus and loved every piece of his outfit. What I also like about this Fashionisto is his subtle color coordination. The blues in his printed undershirt accent the blue from his button-up and the blue in his eyes.
Instead of opting for a solid color shirt as an undershirt, this Fashionisto is rocking a smiley face graphic tee from Theory Skate Clothing. Forever 21 is a great place to find fabulous pieces at affordable prices for college students. The short sleeve button-up he styled over the graphic tee is a powder blue paisley printed shirt found in the men’s section at Forever 21. He pairs his shirts with simple black long shorts found at H&M. This Fashionisto adds contrast to his Nike Skateboarding Zoom Stefan Janoski shoes with high black Vans socks from Zumiez. The only thing this Fashionisto is missing is a longboard!
Hint: I love that this Fashionisto added a black beanie from H&M as an accessory, but if the heat this summer is too unbearable for a black beanie, a fun hat like this undefeated chambray 5-panel hat from Urban Outfitters will keep your hair out of your face and give you extra shade. Remember to make sure the pattern on the hat still compliments the patterns and prints in the overall look! If you wanted more of a basic undershirt for this look so the attention is focused on the paisley print, I suggest looking for a lighter blue or gray undershirt like this ‘Michael’ V-neck undershirt from Nordstrom.
