The temperature is starting to rise, the summer seems to be quickly approaching and fashion doesn’t stop for anyone. While there are new trends escalating on the daily, it’s always nice to see something of what once used to be an overdone and really popular trend. I’m referring to one of my personal favorites, rugged vintage.
This week’s Fashionisto joined the rugged vintage trend wave with his ensemble that included a denim washed button-up with some denim rugged torn jeans. The concept for his specific ensemble was pretty much denim on denim, except the material type is more used looking and beat up, giving it that awesome vintage look. To finish his complete ensemble, he matched everything mentioned with some brown boots, also rugged looking.
Vintage is a trend that’s seriously fun and interesting to incorporate with other ensemble pieces. People who love to thrift definitely take advantage of what some might consider authentic vintage, meaning it really was actually used so much to make it look like that. For others who aren’t so much about thrifting, there’s lots of retail stores whom offer this trend on pieces that are brand new.
You too can join the wave of this trend. If your jeans somehow got torn on the knee area, use them and just incorporate them with your other garments. At some point, I remember that some people would even use a razor to do it themselves to make the jeans even more destroyed.
Hint: I really suggest that whenever you do incorporate vintage into your daily ensembles, you also add different type of leather accessories. I personally have an addiction to Fossil leather bags, no kidding. It’s always nice to switch up different colored messenger bags or backpacks in general with what you usually wear. Don’t think too much about possibly investing on a leather bag, they’re honestly worth it and they last much longer than any canvas bag.
