The fall semester has officially begun and so have the great trends around campus in dozens of colors, patterns and combinations! While some choose to sport the summer pastel attire, others decided it’s time to bust out fall darker tones. It’s these first days in which everybody is even more anxious to sport their new wardrobe and look extra sharp.
This week’s Fashionisto caught my eye with his cool and interesting combination of shoes and pants. I like that the pants are rolled up—a trend that is super hot right now. Some people find it weird or awkward because it can make the pants look cut or not long enough. However, it adds character and makes the whole ensemble original. Another way to change things up to wear a pair of some snazzy long socks. Doing this would also bring other tones and colors into the ensemble.
Dark chino skinny pants are a must for every Fashionisto this fall. We’re seeing this season that the interior stitching on some pants is a different tone color. Therefore, if you decide to roll up the pants, your outfit is brought to a whole knew level. This Fashionisto’s cuffed pants worked perfectly since it matched the burgundy tone of the shoelaces creating contrast.
What makes an ensemble even more unique is the accessories that are matched with it. Shades are always great and can be the perfect accessory. Picking a frame, tone and tint can be difficult, but it really comes down to your facial geometry and personality. For this season, however, vintage brown tones and black round frames are trending.
Hint: Don’t hesitate to roll up your pants, you can make the look your own. Adding color to the usual solid type of pieces makes things interesting. Play with formal pieces by mixing them with casual items to make your style more unique and professional. Don’t always limit yourself by the guideline of always having to match!
