As we move through December, the cold weather is finally among us. With the chilled air and the mix of rain and snow, layering becomes a must. Layering is a great way to keep you warm while maintaining an on trend look.
This week’s Fashionisto made an impact with his layering decision. He wears a plaid flannel button-down, zip-up sweatshirt and Marmot ski jacket to complete his layered look. The flannel option was a great way to incorporate more color in order to add contrast throughout the ensemble. Next, applying the sweatshirt on top adds an athletic and casual style to the overall look. Finally, to ensure he stays warm while making his way to class, he adds a ski jacket to provide warmth and comfort. Layering may be the most practical thing to do during these cooler months to keep all Fashionistos out there warm while they make their way to class.
Apart from this Fashionisto’s layering skills, he completes his look with rusty orange corduroys, which provide a little extra color. Corduroys remain a classic fall/winter style that remains a staple for men’s fashion throughout the years.
He finishes off his look with a classic and simple shoe to round out the look. The shoe, in a neutral color, is not the usual sports sneaker, but it finishes off the look in a classy way.
Hint: Whether it is layer, adding a pop of color or remaining true to the classics, try something new with your look. If you want to try layering, another option could be a simple button-down with a pullover sweater or maybe a cardigan. Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things.
