Now that we are almost two weeks into our fall semester here at Eastern Connecticut State University and the summer weather is coming to an end we are starting to see Fashionistos mix their summer looks with their warmer clothing. Fall is by far my favorite season as far as fashion is concerned. It allows you to pair and layer great pieces for the perfect look.
Today’s Fashionisto was caught doing just that; wearing a warmer top with his summer appropriate shorts and sneakers. I found this look to be particularly suitable for possibly early classes or a cooler evening walking on campus. This ensemble screams comfort yet remains stylish enough to be out and about in it! To me, every man should own a sweater that is as comfortable as their oldest sweatshirt but that can be worn to places outside of your bedroom. Sporting a great half-zip pullover like this one by Ralph Lauren adds a preppy flare to a simple look.
Once you have such a great staple in your wardrobe, like as a sweater, you can begin to add other pieces, such as jeans or shorts depending on the season. As you can see our Fashionisto this week chose to go with a short since the weather is still a bit warm. One of my favorite parts about this Fashionisto’s look is the monochromatic neutral color scheme; it’s fresh and maintains the summery look that the shorts brought in. Finally, our Fashionisto finished off this cozy look with a pair of Nike sneakers. Even with a pair of calf-high black socks, this look screamed cool and morning class worthy.
Hint: Not a fan of this single colored style? Instead try a bold colored jean or short for fall with a pair of Sperry Top-Siders to bring in the summer feel! This will give you that great look for your fall semester without a doubt!
