It’s the second week of classes and UA students are pulling out the outerwear. You will not find us in snow jackets and duck boots but you might find a Fashionisto like this one in a stylish blazer, long sleeves and denim jeans.
I spotted this Fashionisto coming from our Caesar Chavez building midday trending in his thrifted blazer and Levi Jeans. This blazer is the perfect fit with just the right amount of texture while his choice of jeans are accessorized with a brown woven belt to match his cross body Fossil bag.
Although blazers typically give a polished look I think that he did an awesome job of adding personality to it with his unique eye wear, army green beanie and unlaced Steve Madden shoes. All of these additions make it more of a casual outfit for an average school day.
His button up from J.Crew is tasteful and the color is a great complement to his navy blue blazer. If your outfit is not worn for business professional events it is not a bad idea to find a shirt with buttons that lighten up the look. The smallest details can make the biggest difference. Buttons can add not only texture but also a distinctive style to your outfit that I, personally, am always a fan of.
Hint: Leave oversized blazers to the women. Only buy blazers that fit or be sure to get them tailored. Great fitting clothes always leave a good impression and it shows that you are familiar with what suits your body type the best. If you are looking for a blazer on a budget, check out your local thrift store or Buffalo Exchange, which was founded right here in Tucson, Arizona. Also do not be afraid of the pieces that can be found in your parents’ closet. Trends typically reoccur over time and you never know what staples you might find that will never go out of style.
