When thinking about crewneck sweaters, seasons like fall and spring are thought to be most appropriate for them, right? Well ‘twas a beautiful day on Hampton University’s campus when a torrential downpour whisked through like a gust of wind. It poured and poured, ruining what started as a beautiful day to enjoy some fun in the sun until the only thing left in sight was the rain itself.
This summer has been nothing but unusual. Without a doubt, it is important to always stay one step ahead which leads us to today’s topic of discussion, crewneck sweaters.
I have acquired an obsession with them and I believe it is because they have become so unique with the creations.
Crewneck sweaters are fairly lightweight and perfect for breezy summer days. This Fashionisto is wearing a crewneck by Diamond Supply. He pairs it with cargo shorts, coordinating the fatigue. I love the pop of red and orange and if you guys remember, matching is evil so this is great example of mismatch gone well!
Keeping in mind that it is still summer, I love the contrast of a heavy top and leisure bottom, primarily because it is flexible. It isn’t the awkward fashion faux pas like UGG boots and shorts but it is the perfect combination for any given day throughout the year.
Hint: Expect the best, prepare for the worst. It’s the summertime and the last thing on any Fashionisto’s mind is a jacket or umbrella, but anything can and will happen (especially in the East Coast). All of your favorite brands have adequately adapted to the production of crewnecks and they are the BEST.
