I can honestly say that I like each season of the year. In case you were wondering, yes, all of my reasons are clothing-related. Spring is great because I get to break out of my big puffy coat and trade it in for skirts and sundresses. In the summer, I have a uniform of shorts and T-shirts in a wide array of bright colors. For fall, I have my favorite pair of brown boots that I wear with cute vests and scarves. Winter means I get to wear my L.L.Bean Bean Boots everyday with a chunky sweater and my parka, which is so cozy and warm.
Although I hate to say it, I am done with winter. I’m over the below-30 degree temperatures everyday, the remnants of our last snow storm in random piles and patches around the city and, I never thought I would say this, I’m sick of my winter clothes and having to bundle up every time I walk out the door. Thankfully, the weather is getting warmer (slowly but surely) and spring is so close I can practically see the cherry blossom trees start to bloom.
This Fashionsto is also tired of the gloomy winter weather, so he decided to dress for the season he wants and sport a perfect springtime outfit. The good ole’ medium rinse jeans come to the rescue again and serve as a great base for this outfit. The classic straight-leg makes them even more versatile and will allow them to be worn with anything from a preppy polo to a trendy motorcycle jacket. The light blue and gray plaid shirt looks like a flannel, but it is actually a light cotton material, which makes it a great piece to wear when transitioning between winter and spring.
This Fashionisto’s Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt is one of my most favorite things in the entire world and I strongly believe that everyone should own one. It comes in a ton of colors and different styles (fleece, embroidered shoulder panel, Irish flag colors, etc.) and can pull an outfit together in a snap. His Shep Shirt is in a washed blue color that gives the sweatshirt a vintage vibe and makes it feel very nautical. To add to the nautical feel of this outfit while still keeping it seasonally appropriate, this Fashionisto added a pair of gray Sperry Top-Siders (a classic summer piece in a wintery color) and some oversized aviator sunglasses.
Hint: This Fashionisto’s outfit is made up of essentials that will help you transition from winter into spring. The medium rinse jeans are the number one essential and can be found at Nordstrom. You can get a plaid shirt like this Fashionisto’s from J.Crew along with the aviator sunglasses. Gray Sperry Top-Siders can be purchased straight from the brand’s website. If you’re not into the gray, try a different neutral color that can be worn with many different outfits. The Shep Shirt can only be found at Vineyard Vines. They have so many different color combinations that everyone is bound to find one that fits their personal style.
