When you say Paris I say baguette, cheese, wine, coffee, chic, black, red lipstick and Chanel. All these things are evidently delicious or pertain to women’s fashion. So how would one describe French fashion in men’s terms? Do they also resort to all black and replace lipstick for a plethora of berets? Obviously not, I mean, how cliché would that be?
We know Karl Lagerfeld, who is the epitome of Parisian Fashion, opts for tailored black suits with classic white button-downs. However, it seems unrealistic that French college Fashionistos would wear a full three-piece suit to class. But fear not my fellow Fashionistas/os, this handsome Parisian boy has solved the case for us.
His distressed skinny jeans are a great combination of grunge and class. The rips give the pants a nice edge while the tailored fit provides a counter balance of sophistication. He kept his top neutral with an oatmeal colored V-neck T-shirt under a light beige cardigan. Since unfortunately, all signs of warm weather have completely vanished from Boston, it is essential to wear a big marshmallow coat. This Parisian Fashionisto chose a jacket with a fur-trimmed hood for added warmth (and fashion points). To complete his very European look he snagged a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, a black and leather Longchamp brief case and a pair of oversized glasses. Since we cannot all book it to Paris immediately, I suggest we all walk around with copious amounts of baguettes, cheese and chic French fashion. Who is with me?
Hint: If you want a more European look in your daily outfits, try slimmer fit pants with casual button-downs and sweaters. Say bye-bye to sweatshirts and sweat pants!
